  • Social Content: Posts, comments, photos, and other content you share on our platform.
  • Communications: Messages sent through our platform and support inquiries.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Location Data: GPS coordinates when you use shot tracking features. You can disable location services in your device settings.
  • Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
  • Usage Data: How you interact with our Service, including features used, pages visited, and time spent.
  • Log Data: IP address, browser type, access times, and referring URLs.

2.3 Information from Third Parties

  • Sign in with Apple: If you use Apple Sign-In, we receive your name and email (or a relay email if you choose to hide it).
  • Golf Clubs: If you join a club on Strokon, the club may share membership information with us.

2.4 Device Permissions

Our mobile app may request the following device permissions:

  • Camera: Used to take profile photos and capture course images. Camera access is only used when you actively choose to take a photo.
  • Photo Library: Used to select existing photos for your profile and to save scorecards and round summaries to your device.
  • Face ID/Touch ID: Used for secure authentication and password autofill. Biometric data is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted to or stored by Strokon.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our Service
  • Track your golf performance and calculate handicap
  • Enable social features and connect you with other golfers
  • Process transactions and send related information
  • Send notifications about your rounds, achievements, and social activity
  • Respond to your comments, questions, and support requests
  • Monitor and analyze usage patterns to improve user experience
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and fraud
  • Comply with legal obligations

4. Sharing Your Information

We may share your information in the following circumstances:

  • With Other Users: Your profile, rounds, and social posts may be visible to other users based on your privacy settings.
  • With Golf Clubs: If you join a club, your membership information and relevant golf data may be shared with club administrators.
  • Service Providers: We use third-party services to help operate our Service:
    • Supabase (database and authentication)
    • Stripe (payment processing)
    • Sentry (error tracking and monitoring)
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights and safety.
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our Service. We may retain certain information after account deletion for legal compliance, dispute resolution, and enforcement of our agreements.

Golf performance data and round history are retained to maintain accurate handicap calculations and historical statistics.
