How to Delete Your Account

You can delete your Strokon account and all associated data directly from the app. Here's how:

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Open the Strokon app on your mobile device
  2. Go to your Profile by tapping the profile icon in the navigation
  3. Tap "Settings" (gear icon) in the top right corner
  4. Scroll down to "Account" section
  5. Tap "Delete Account" (shown in red)
  6. Type "DELETE" to confirm your request
  7. Tap "Delete My Account" to submit your request

What Data Will Be Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed from our systems:

  • Profile Information: Your name, email, profile photo, and all account settings
  • Golf Rounds & Scores: All your recorded rounds, hole-by-hole scores, and performance statistics
  • Social Content: All posts, comments, likes, and shares you've made
  • Messages: All direct messages and conversations
  • Photos & Files: All images and files you've uploaded
  • Friend Connections: All your friend relationships and connection history
  • Club Memberships: Your membership records with any golf clubs
  • Achievements & Badges: All earned badges and achievement records
  • Notification Preferences: All your notification and communication settings

What Data May Be Retained

In accordance with legal requirements, certain data may be retained:

  • Payment Records: Transaction history may be retained for tax and legal compliance purposes (typically 7 years)
  • Aggregated Analytics: Anonymized, non-personal statistical data that cannot identify you
  • Legal Obligations: Any data required to be retained by law or for legal proceedings

Processing Timeline

Your account deletion request will be processed within 30 days of submission. During this period:

  • Your account will be immediately deactivated
  • Your profile and content will no longer be visible to other users
  • Complete data removal from all our systems will be finalized within 30 days
  • Backup systems may take an additional 30 days to fully purge the data
